A World of Free Radicals

Every element in the body, in fact, every structure, every fluid, every millimeter of our body is composed of individual atoms which join together to form molecules.  These molecules then come together to form a compound, such as NaCl which is sodium and chloride more commonly known as salt.  Our body is constantly breaking apart compounds from the foods we eat and the beverages we drink to create new combinations that allow the body to function.

As these atoms and molecules transition from one compound to another, they can often while away their time single.  In this single state, they will have an electrical charge.  The electrical charge means they are unstable and are actively seeking to join with other elemental molecules to form compounds, have a neutral charge and become stable. 

It is during their single, unstable time that these electrically charged ions are considered “free radicals” meaning that they can actually steal a needed molecule from another compound which may be part of an essential structure in the body such as a cell membrane or the wall of the gut. 

Our body has systems to control the number of free radicals (charged ions) that are present, but the demands of a modern lifestyle have created such large numbers of free radicals that our body systems are completely overrun.  Toxins, environmental pollutants, pharmaceutical drugs, processed and preserved foods and even stress will all create overwhelming amounts of free radicals every day in our delicate body tissues.  Often chronic sinusitis, stomach problems and even autoimmune issues are all the result of these assaults. 

Electrolysis and the Ionization of Water

So we are assaulted every day by free radicals.  And most of these free radicals tend to be positively charged, so they are seeking a negatively charged molecule with which to bond.  Since even our daily activities can add to the volume of positive ions, we are always deficient in the number of negative ions that we truly need to neutralize the positive ions. This is why humans have always found moving water to be so soothing.  Crashing ocean waves, rainstorms, waterfalls, mountain streams... the movement of water will split water molecules throwing off millions of negative ions.  The neutralizing effect of these negative ions on our overly positively charged bodies is enough to put you to sleep. 

This is the science behind the Japanese technology for producing Kangen Water^TM.  Electrolysis is the process used to change the structure of normal tap water into a highly alkaline, strongly antioxidant, microclustered water.  It is a process where we can duplicate the splitting of water by nature, the way water was at the "origin".
